Renick's does tremendous work. I live in CT and knew that I was going to be going to CA earlier this year. I called Renicks and talked with Nick, the
owner. He mailed me a form for taking measurements for the boots. I had a of "pirate" boots I wanted.
When I arrived in CA in March (2002), the boots were ready and waiting for me. They are fabulous, exact to the drawings I had sent to Nick. After
wearing them at a particularly muddy RenFaire, I took them to a local shoe repairperson for some sprucing up and he told me that the workmanship was
exceptional and when I told him what I paid for them, he could not believe they cost so little for the work that was done.
My boots are worn folded down most of the time, but I have unfolded them once. They are mid-thigh high.
I highly recommend Renicks for anyone looking for boots that are made well and made to last!
