Based on the book by David McCullough and the HBO miniseries.  This website and puzzle is not affiliated with either David McCullough, the publishers of John Adams, with HBO or anyone else associated with these three entities and persons.

CHAPTER ONE: The Road to Philadelphia

DIRECTIONS:  

(1)  Answer the following trivia questions based on the book John Adams by David McCullough.  The number of letters in the answer (excluding spaces) is given in parentheses at the end of the question.                     

(2) Find the answers in the letter grid below.  The answers will be found horizontally, vertically, diagonally, forward and back.  In addition, the answers are crooked, at a ninety degree angle, at some point in the clue.  The answers in the grid can overlap each other.  

Example: If two separate answers are Adams and Abigail, possible clue configurations are as follows:

(3) When you cross out all the answers in the grid, you will be left with a clue to another puzzle.  The clue can be found by reading all the uncrossed out letters, left to right, top to bottom and will be hidden in the middle of the line of letters.  This clue will be used in a future puzzle.
