CHAPTER ONE: The Road to Philadelphia

DIRECTIONS:  

(1)  Answer the following trivia questions based on the book John Adams by David McCullough.  The number of letters in the answer (excluding spaces) is given in parentheses at the end of the question.                     

(2) Find the answers in the letter grid below.  The answers will be found horizontally, vertically, diagonally, forward and back.  In addition, the answers are crooked, at a ninety degree angle, at some point or points in the clue.  The answers in the grid can also overlap each other.

(3) When you cross out all the answers in the grid, you will be left with a clue to another puzzle.  The clue can be found by reading all the unused letters, top to bottom, left to right, and will be hidden in the middle of the line of letters.  This clue will be used in a future puzzle.
